As you now begin to understand I am creating a sculpture consisting of two Dala Horses. One that stands at the bottom, and is blue and depressed. It literally is hanging with its head.
The second one is a very happy and playful Dala Horse. It jumps, full of joy, over the other Dala Horse. The jumping horse is red, which emotionally contrasts against the blue and tells you about warmth, passion and joy.
As you can see, I composed the red horse’s skin and kurbits pattern in much the same way as for the blue horse. The difference is that I will apply the dots and the thin lines of clay after the skin is placed on the horse.
