Placing the Stroppel canes on the body of the horse

Now its time to carefully press the slices into the soft black clay on the horse.

As you see, I only cover the upper part of the horse, the neck and the back. I use shorter slices for the neck and longer slices for the body. Some slices are used to create the tail.

The last photo shows the Stroppel Horse prepared for curing in the oven.
