You have no idea how happy I was when I received notification that I was one of the International Polymer Clay Award Winners. Of course I knew that I had participated in the competition with three pieces; The Playful Dala Horses, The Vitruvian Sleipner and The Moonlight Dress.
And – The Moonlight Dress won in Mixed Media as both Judges and Members’ Choice!
Thank you everyone who voted for me! I promise to wear this dress at the Gala Dinner at the EuroSynergy2 conference in Bordeaux in July 2016.
The story of the dress:
As many of you know I love the lake Roxen. On my private Facebook page you will often find photos of this wonderful lake, and I have also made a YouTube movie ”One Year with Roxen” showing how beautiful Roxen is at all times of the year.
I also love horses, and all my Mosebacke art is about horses.
So, why not make a combination of both? Horses and a lake… and suddenly my mind was playing with some kind of dress, a black dress with moonlight in it.
So I started to make sketches, I sewed a black dress and then I aimed to make a picture of polymer clay on this dress… My ambition was to show Roxen, the moonlight, horses on the beach, a moon, horses that are flying close to the moon, the water, the trees, the stars in the sky…
So I started to work. It work took a couple of weeks, but here it is! Later on, I will show in my blog more details on how this very dress was created.
